The Way Forward Project

Summit

Washington, DC U.S.A.

November 8, 2011

A Convening of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute

The capstone of CCAI’s The Way Forward Project was the international policy summit in Washington, D.C. at the State Department's George C. Marshall Center. At the November 8, 2011 Summit, the Working Group Chairs presented The Way Forward Project's findings and recommendations to high-level U.S. and African government officials, civic and development leaders, corporations, researchers, foundations, and faith-based and community organizations in attendance.  CCAI hopes that through these presentations and discussions, these international leaders and other stakeholders will not only be inspired to implement the necessary family-based policies, but also agree to invest in identified best-practices for providing the full continuum of care for children without parental care.

CCAI was especially honored by the participation of our distinguished speakers and presenters at the project's summit.  Read below to view videos of the presenters and to access their PowerPoint presentations.
